Phony Outrage & Hyperbole: Tackery Sour (Zachary Sire) Strikes Again

On Friday blogger Zachary Sire posted a rant on TheSword.com where he dramatically proclaimed that “It’s Time For ‘Men Of Color Blog’ To Shut Down“, in the article he sights recent comments made by Victor Hoff of the MOC blog about Diesel Washington being a “default black porn actor” as reasons for his furious outrage.
He begins by ridiculing Hoff for apologizing to Diesel for the comment before inferring there’s something wrong with a white guy having a blog about “men of color”.
“Yesterday, blogger Victor Hoff called Diesel Washington a “default black porn actor.” Today, he’s apologized! What a mess.”

First of all, what’s wrong with the man apologizing if he felt like he said something wrong? Personally I don’t take issue with the statement because Diesel Washington (Douche Bag Washingturd) is the default black pornstar, the token, the minstrel of mainstream gay porn. How else do you explain the fact that he has been nominated for several awards this year despite only having one movie, ‘SteamWorks‘ by Raging Stallion Studios/AEBN, which achieved modest success at best? I think it sold a few dozen copies. His latest nominations are NOT based on talent or relevancy but rather tokenism; nominating the black guy with name recognition in a year when no one is hiring him can’t be explained any other way. Its a way for award committees to cover their asses and look like their main motives aren’t just to celebrate white males at the exclusion of others. Nothing more, nothing less. If it were based on talent and visibility there would be a variety of black nominees, guys who are actually working and putting out some good shit. Secondly, if there’s nothing wrong with Victor Hoff’s being Caucasian why did you mention it? The innuendo is très apparente. Why is it wrong for Victor, a white man, to offer his analysis on racial insensitivity as it relates to black men (and others) in gay porn but it’s okay for Miss Sire (Zachary) to post an article where she offers her opinions on the very same subject? Seems like a double standard to me.
He then goes on to question whether Victor Hoff’s blog has ever been serious about combatting racism.

Now I’m laughing. Is this bitch serious? Zach Sire of ALL the bullshit bloggers in the world, is notorious for using The Sword blog to ax grind his fellow porn bloggers from other web sites, porn stars with whom he has personal differences with and even some of the people who post comments. He has brought his bullshit and drama from Unzipped over to The Sword and Tim Valenti (owner of Naked Sword) doesn’t give a shit about it because he sure hasn’t bothered to check the situation yet…. And who does Zachary Sire think he’s fooling with his feigned anger and outrage over something he deems to be racially insensitive towards blacks? This is coming from the same man who has twice used images of the Klu Klux Klan and burning crosses as illustrations that accompanied articles that deal with black men or those who blog about them; clearly he lacks even a nano-shred of creditability on this issue.
just how was the usage of a burning cross & members of the KKK appropriate or germane to the blog posts they accompanied? when referring to a recent Cybersocket list of black porn stars Zach used an image of hooded Klansmen, When is that ever NOT a violation - especially coming from a white guy? That wasn't satire, that was line crossing.

Whoa, a convoluted metaphor. If anyone knows about hitching their wagon to a crazy train it would be Zach, How else do you explain his bizarre alliance with Diesel Washington? Nearly every week there is a new and totally unnecessary post on The Sword concerning Diesel even though he’s spent the last year being an old, bitter, out of work, shit starting, rambling blogger and not much else. Shoving him down our throats won’t make us love him. I on the other hand, have not hitched my wagon to anyone’s train. In the past I have traded words and unflattering opinions with the MOC blog and when asked, I declined the opportunity to write for the website so this accusation makes no sense. I’m cool with Victor and Tre, but don’t know either of them – we have tweeted each other a few times and yes, Angel Cruz is my online buddy that I chat with often, but have also never met; we are not members of the Douche Bag Washingturd hate club and we are not a packaged deal or some sort of organized trio… Our conflict started when you accused me of being a nobody who spoke ill of your idol Mr. Washington as a way to get attention… Carry water much you shameless shill???

My only claim to “greatness” this year has been the fact that every single video that I’ve been featured in has spent time on AEBN’s top ten ‘Most Watched’ list and unlike other charts, AEBN is the largest VOD theater in the world. My video Anon: Anonymous Sex Addicts, spent about 3 months in the #1 slot. As far as black performers go, I have had more #1 titles this year than any other (featured in & on the cover of the current #2 Most Watched movie); by most standards that would be considered great.
If hating Diesel were grounds for invalidation you’d have to add a lot more names to the list of detractors. Let’s face it, none of the rest of us will ever love that douche bag the way that you do Zach so give it a rest and let it go. Angel Cruz has every reason to dislike a guy with whom he sought out as a potential mentor, only to be bullied and ridiculed by that person for knowing what kind of image he wanted to portray in porn. As for me, I will ALWAYS reserve the right to tell it like it is, even when that includes making comments about a 40 something year old bipolar loser who brings his mother to porn award shows in a desperate attempt for attention. Moving on.

I’m willing to bet the horse, Porsche & farm that if you talk to Brent Corrigan this week I’m sure he’d blame a personality conflict as the reason Zach went on an unprovoked attack against him on The Sword, Zach’s adversarial relationships are well documented. A commenter to one of my previous posts has this to say about Zach:

Well said my friend, well said. I think it’s pretty dickish to post an article on your website blasting people then block them from being able to rebut your claims and defend themselves. It’s even worse to trump up a campaign of fake outrage at perceived racism when your true motives are revenge and retaliation against those who either blogged about and/or contacted Tim Valenti to complain about your racially tone deaf use of inflammatory images on TheSword.com. If Victor Hoff should pack up and close shop for feeling the need to apologize to a black man for something he said, then you should be fired from The Sword so you can add San Francisco to your list of cities (LA & NYC) where your crappy journalism skills failed miserably. You’ll be free to return to SoCal to sleep on the sofa of Jewel the drag queen, if she’ll still have you. Your fake campaigns and purposeful misrepresentation of others is motivated by petty dramas, silly rivalries, favoritism, and personal vendettas. The way you attempt to spin shit reminds me a lot of Karl Rove and Andrew Breitbart, your truth has nothing to do with reality and you are not to be trusted. There’s nothing respectable about you or the negativity that follows your every move. In fact, I’m quite sure the reason that you blog about porn is so that you can have a reason to be around porn performers, it’s your all access card. How many porn stars would acknowledge your existence if you didn’t porn blog for a living? I’ve heard the rumors about your quid pro quo when it comes to favorable coverage.

This passage showcases beautifully your sharp mind and insight into political maneuvering that would serve you well in any other walk of life than porn, too. Zachary Sire is simply out of his league with you.
So I suppose it is kind of human that he makes personal attacks in his blog, yet prevents the attacked people from defending themselves at the comment area. What it is though, is very tacky, unprofessional and awkward to watch. You almost start to pity him.
That he uses his blog as a personal ax grinder is very obvious and transparent. I have lost my interest in the Sword for that reason and no longer go check it regularly like I used to – only when someone invites me to do so.

But the thing is, what is Diesel without drama? Why does he continue to pick fights? I think there is no reason to apologize for calling him the default black porn actor, but doing so, owning up to own perceived mistake, brings only more ire. Being a martyr is more rewarding and keeps the drama going.
Has Diesel or Zach ever felt they have done something wrong or been wrong about anything?

every inch of this is right and 100 % correct …. when i confronted zach about it directly he ignored me …. but whatever..
This blog is a perfect breakdown of how Zach Sire has completely and utterly skewered the way the sword operates. If hes going to be an asshole he should at least be EOP about it..
I had made a decision to steer clear of all the bullshit with Diesel. i just didn’t care it wasn’t until recently when zach sire came up with this idea of us spending all our time hating him that i was finally able to realize that Diesel was clearly going beyond his lame ass blog and telling other people that i had some animosity towards him … and then he has the nerve to say ” I ll give all these models work”
I would not ever work for or with diesel at this point . i refuse to put my name in THAT gutter.
This is getting old . We all have talents and skills beyond this ..

I agree, I would have more respect for Zachary if he was upfront about his blatant favoritism and the fact that he censors people totally arbitrarily. But he still has the need to pretend that his blog has some resemblance to actual journalism and that is tacky.
As for Diesel, I think he is a has-been who has problem accepting that his time in limelight has gone and finding new stuff to do with his life. Also not a very mentally stable has-been. He needs attention to feel alive. It’s kind of sad in someone that old.

This comment is directed at Diesel. Don’t allow yourself to be a stooge for Zachary or anyone else. You of all people should be able to see that you and your anger over perceived racially insensitive comments were exploited by Zach for personal reasons. It is clear from Zach’s track record that he doesn’t care about having serious dialog as it pertains to racial equality. You were used. Your anger was used and in the end both you and Zach ended up with egg on your face. All hate aside, this is one black man advising another… we can continue our personal feud after this comment but for now you should revisit your alliance with Zach. Is the favorable coverage he gives you reason enough to allow him a pass on his total manipulation of your situation? I mean, it’s not like the CONSTANT coverage is translating into actual work for you. Just a few nominations that are invalidated because they are based on the long ago past and not the present. If you don’t find Zach’s latest stunts to be a prime example of race baiting then you too lose all creditability on the subject. Be careful man, as soon as Zach is done with you he will tie you down and toss you in rush hour traffic in the direct path of a double decker tour bus.

With the exception of a few minor points, I completely agree with you. I don’t think it is right for him to call out people who disagree with him just because they disagree with him. I don’t think it’s right to censor these people either. That isn’t the proper way to handle things.
I don’t think it’s right to disguise his blog as journalism. Like Lotta, I would respect him more if he were upfront about his favoritism.
I have no clue how someone else having a differing opinion about people of color in porn (one that makes sense) and properly expressing it undermines the cause. Just because Zachary Sire doesn’t agree doesn’t make it wrong. And he must not realize that bringing more attention to MOC Blog is just making it more popular. I wonder if his traffic has soared.
And he does more to undermine the cause with all of his KKK-this and that. Zachary Sire is the one who needs to be shut down, not Victor. Especially when there are more competent gay news blogs.
I can’t really add anything more to what you said because you basically said it all.

As owner of a gay media company, I can concur that Zach Sire IS using Diesel Washington’s blackness and IS manipulating Diesel Washington’s blackness to the extent Diesel views it as his acceptance into the white, cracker run gay porn industry.
Sire is a manipulator unlike any other editor in the gay community. When Diesel’s back is turned, Sire is sticking a knife and twisting it in good. But when Sire needs a pawn, or in Diesel’s case, a puppet to promote something – There’s Sire, licking Diesel’s black ass. But with a cleverly disguised dental dam in place.
Is this what journalism has eroded to in the gay community and why doesn’t Diesel realize any of this. When’s the last time Sire got Diesel work?
